Providing you a home where your potential is encouraged.

Our Host Home services provide primary residential care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the District of Columbia. We provide assistance and support to help them live in a perfect and stable home setting with a matching host home provider, connect with their community resources, and participate in the everyday activities of family and community life.

We develop Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and continually adjust these plans to meet their changing needs. We make sure to involve each of them in planning these services to help them become successful. Along with these, we also provide meals, transportation, behavioral support in conjunction with an interdisciplinary team, and assist with daily living skills and medication management.

Our Host Home program includes:

  • Life skills development
  • Opportunities for community activities
  • Family involvement and support
  • Advocacy services
  • Community integration
  • Opportunities for day programs
  • Medication management oversight
  • 24-hour on-call support
  • Quality improvement
